What is the difference between a sample and a remix?

A sample is when you take a snippet of an existing recording — like a drum loop, vocal phrase, or melody — and use it in a new track. A remix is when you take an existing song and rework it, often changing the arrangement, tempo, or style, but still keeping the original song recognisable.
